MUMBAI: Three youngsters were feared drowned after they tried to cross the Seven Bungalows creek on Sunday. They have been identified as Chetan Rajaram Potle (23), Kushal Dashrat Gosavi (21) and Subhash Mahadev More (24) and their bodies are yet to be found. Three others who were part of the group comprising residents of Vinayak Chawl in Nehru Nagar, Vile Parle, were rescued.
Two of the six — Kushal and Mahesh — were brothers.
They had left home around 8 am, saying they would return in the evening. Around 1 pm, the six tried to go over to Juhu beach by crossing Seven Bungalows creek from Versova, but were caught in the tide and swept away.
Yogesh Kamble and Tushar Kantekar could swim and reached the shore. They also rescued Mahesh Gosavi.
